Biography

Joe Cahill (he/him) is an award-winning composer and producer based in New York City, specializing in music for immersive experiences and projection mapping. His original compositions have been featured in *Guestlings*, which premiered at the Berlin Festival of Lights, as well as LUMA’s Light Festival, Asbury Park’s Color and Light Festival, and Mainz Leuchtet.

Joe’s work spans multiple artistic mediums, including immersive installations, comedy shows, films, and musicals. His recent projects include *The Galaxy Brain Experience* (2023), a musical for which he served as producer, director, and composer and which won the Audience Choice Award at the Charm City Fringe Festival; *Unimportant Conversations* (2024), a comedy show presented at the NYC Comedy Festival with a sold-out premiere; and *Finding Now* (2025), a sensory-controlled immersive experience that premiered at the Clive Davis Building in downtown Brooklyn.

In 2026, Joe began exploring a new creative direction, writing music inspired by his recent ADHD diagnosis and creating folk music about coming out as bisexual under the alter ego NeuroJo. On piano, he performs and writes songs such as “Neurodivergent,” which has no fixed time signature—a reflection of Joe’s own difficulty committing to a single task. On guitar, as NeuroJo, he writes songs about bisexuality and his struggle to believe in any particular faith.

Joe continues to develop *Finding Now*, an immersive experience that invites participants to meditate, move, and connect within visual environments inspired by beaches, coral reefs, deserts, and mountains, accompanied by live original music. He believes immersive experiences represent the future of entertainment and is committed to creating welcoming “third places” where people can relax, exercise, and socialize.

In addition to his creative work, Joe is a music instructor at Lake House, where he teaches piano, leads band rehearsals, and offers composition lessons. When he is not creating, Joe can be found training for his next marathon or surfing in Asbury Park.
